German Heritage Society returns with the "2006 Blizzard Showdown"

The Midwest Poker Series and German Heritage Society are running another tournament in Fort Wayne the weekend of Janauary 14-15 at the Mizpah Shrine Center Ballroom. Saturday and early Sunday are $35 buy-in satellites to the $300 buyin ($325 after Jan. 6) main event on Sunday January 15th.

Poker.com Changes Freeroll Structure

Poker.com changed their freeroll structure today, from 5 $200 freerolls per day to 12 $100 freerolls per day, every two hours (similar to Pokerchamps.com). They still pay out to the top 100 in each event. Click on the freerolls link in the left hand column to see all the best online freerolls.

Craig Hartman wins 2005 Orleans Open

Craig Hartman of Fort Wayne won the 2005 Orleans Open, his 5th major cash finish of the year and first tournament win of 2005. He pocketed $20,860 on a $300+40 buyin. Although this was his first win this year, it was only his 3rd biggest prize money of the year, having won over $100,000 between two events at the Bellagio Five Star World Poker Classic earlier in the year.
